After 18 years at Château Angelus, Mr Hubert de Boüard de Laforest, decided to take up a new challenge concurrent with his activities in Saint Émilion and thus went on to acquire the estate of La Fleur de Boüard which produces wines of a rare elegance - totally velvety and charming. He went on to improve the quality of this vineyard and to the best - adhering very much to the maxim of Maître Ausone, ""We forgive others much and ourselves nothing.
Reference point wines for the Lalande de Pomerol appellation, the La Fleur de Boüard (80% Merlot and the rest mostly Cabernet Franc with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon) exhibits abundant notes of caramelized black cherries, licorice, mocha, and berry fruit in a lush, medium to full-bodied, richly fruity style.
